The Hallmark of Buckeye Partners: Our Employee Culture

Founded in 1886, Buckeye Partners has a proven track record of stability and success thanks to the hard work of our committed employees and their continued focus on safely providing service and value to our customers while protecting the environment. Buckeye is dedicated to creating a culture that enables employees, regardless of their background, to reach their full potential, and actively seeks to achieve diversity within our workforce.

Our Board, directly and through its committees, monitors and assesses our culture and seeks to ensure Buckeye’s long-term strategy aligns with that culture and our values. We believe our culture and commitment to employees and community helps us to create value as well as attract and retain highly skilled and experienced people.

We are committed to empowering and engaging our employees through unique growth opportunities, including hands-on training and access to experts and resources to help continuously build skills and experiences at every level of the business. Our career tracks provide employees with the ability to innovate and significantly contribute to the business from day one.

This commitment starts at the top of our organization with the Buckeye Partners Management Team, which is deeply invested in continuing the strong employee culture we enjoy today and identifying ways to improve it further.

In order to achieve our mission to deliver superior value to our stakeholders, we have implemented a set of core commitments to our people and our culture that will enable our success. These include:

Fostering Diversity

Buckeye has an employee-led Women’s Group founded to provide opportunities for individuals to develop professional leadership skills as well as nurture personal and intellectual growth, which ultimately contributes to Buckeye’s success.

“Participating in the Buckeye Women’s Group has not only been a great experience because of the lessons learned from our monthly meetings, but it has given us all an opportunity to meet and network with women from various departments within Buckeye that we may not have otherwise had the opportunity to meet. From women just beginning their careers to women in senior management, this provides an opportunity to share and learn from each other’s experiences.”
